leahA native of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Leah joined the Gjesdahl Law Office in 2007, as an associate attorney. Leah graduated with a B.S. in Paralegal degree from Moorhead State University in 1998. She received a J.D., with distinction, from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2007, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Leah was a member of, and served as Student Articles Editor for the North Dakota Law Review. Her article, The Cost of a Higher Education: Post-Minority Child Support in North Dakota was published by the law review. Leah served as a Burtness Scholar Research Assistant for the head of the legal writing department where she mentored upcoming research assistants. She was also selected as the Student Faculty Committee Member for the Student Bar Association.

Leah and her husband, Andre, have two children, Lauren and Luc. In her spare time, Leah enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and outdoor activities.

Leah was admitted to the North Dakota Bar in October 2007 and the Minnesota Bar in May 2008. She is a member of the North Dakota State Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, Cass County Bar Association and the Ronald N. Davies Inn of Court.
